Well what can I say except, what can make chocolate any better than to add a little peanut butter? And then it becomes, oh my, goodness gracious.

Rabbit trail alert: I’m sure that some of you all remember the TV commercial from several years ago about two men – one saying, who got peanut butter in my chocolate; then the other one says who got chocolate in my peanut butter. In my thinking, does it really matter, no not at all? I’m just glad that somebody had the brilliant idea and put the two of them together.

Through the years there have been many great and not so great ideas of putting the two of these together in everything from candies all the way to cereal. Hopefully you all will also be glad that I put this yummy dessert together. Maybe way into the future someone will say oh, I’m so glad that lady, you know the one that puts them recipes in the newspaper did that because it’s a keeper. Sending each of you all, lots of love, hugs and blessings, my dearest friends.

God bless you all and enjoy!

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.   And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise think on these things.  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. – Philippians 4:6-9

32 Peanut Butter (peanut shaped cookies) crushed into fine crumbs

1-8oz cream cheese softened

1 cup confectioner’s sugar “sifted”

16 oz. container of frozen and thawed whipped topping; this amount will be divided (Note: Sometimes it will be less expensive to purchase two 8-ounce containers, which will then be the same amount in the larger bowl)

Any of your favorite chocolate peanut butter candies

1 small bag of the mini candies chopped or crumbled well, about 2 cups (you will need some extra chopped candies to garnish top)

1-large box of instant chocolate pudding

In a 9x13 size oblong dish place the cookie crumbs in an even layer in bottom of dish. Set aside.

In a medium size bowl place the cream cheese, mixing to blend in the confectioner’s sugar, peanut butter and about 2 cups of the whipped topping. Mixing to blend all together, then blend in about 1 cup of crushed candies, spread this evenly over the crumbs, set aside and make pudding mixing well with milk, spread the pudding oven the cream cheese layer; then spread remaining whipped topping over top of dessert. Garnish with remaining candy crumbles. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
